2018 Silver Cross Wave vs UppaBaby Vista Review

2018 Silver Cross Wave vs UppaBaby Vista Review

If you are looking for the ultimate stroller that will grow with your family, you’ve definitely come across both the Silver Cross Wave and Uppababy Vista strollers in your research. Both of these strollers are top-of-the-line in both style and functionality. While there are many similarities, there are a few key differences between the two.

  1. How the Wave and Vista strollers are similar:

Both of these strollers are convertible strollers – that means that they can accommodate one or two children. There are many different configuration options for each one, using seats, bassinets or car seats, so you are sure to find a position that works best for your children.

Both strollers feature a telescopic handlebar that can be adjusted to suit parents of different heights. For 2018, all Vista strollers will now feature a leather handlebar – something that the Wave sports as well.

Both strollers push like a dream. They are definitely heavier strollers, but their suspension systems are amazing so the push is excellent.

How the Wave and Vista are different:

  • The most significant difference between the two strollers are what the strollers include from the start. The Wave includes the base, seat and bassinet. The upper seat adapters are built onto the stroller frame, so from the start, you can use the main seat in the higher position and the bassinet in the lower position – no need to purchase any additional adapters. The Vista includes the base, seat and bassinet, but in order to use the seat + bassinet configuration, you will need to purchase the upper seat adapters which are sold separately.

The second most obvious difference is the weight. The Silver Cross Wave weighs in at a whopping 30 lbs, while the Vista weighs 26 lbs. This is a big difference when it comes to lifting it in and out of a trunk, etc.

The weight capacities vary as well. The Wave strollers can hold up to 55 lbs in the upper seat and 45 in the lower seat. The Vista can hold up to 50 lbs in the main seat and only 35 in the lower seat.

The Silver Cross wave is a tad narrower as well measuring 23.5″ wide compared to the Vista’s 25″ wide. Realize that both strollers fit comfortably through standard doorways.

Both UPPAbaby and Silver Cross are premium brands that care very very much about their customers. They value each parent that purchased their strollers and stand behind their products. The price tags are high and both strollers are an investment, but you are sure to see the value, craftsmanship and durability no matter which one you ultimately choose.
